The working title of my audio paper is ‘Racist Listening – East Asian Microaggressions Found in Western Sound Media’

My audio paper will be looking at the East Asian stereotypes still present in current western sound media. This could be looking at linguistics, music or any other subtle form of racism that can be conveyed through sound. I intend to touch on the use of accents used in western dubbed Korean shows and the impact they might have on East Asian stereotypes and the influence this might have on the western audience’s subconscious views of East Asians.
