2 Filter pinging experiments. This is where a trigger is sent to the audio input of the filter. With the resonance turned up and with modulation cool percussive water droplet sounds can be produced. The filter I’m using is the Doepfer wasp, a recreation of the filter found on the EDP Wasp synthesiser. This filter is known for having a strangely designed circuit which creates interesting distorted sounds, distinct in comparison to its peers. I use this technique during the specialisation piece and these tests were offshoot recordings which I decided not to use in my final mix.
