The components I ordered arrived and so I replaced the components that were the wrong value. First I used a potentiometer to see if I could change the oscillator frequency and it worked! So from their I replaced it with a LDR to hear the frequency range that could be achieved. I was satisfied with the outcome so I experimented with introducing an LFO modulating amplitude into the circuit and by extension amplitude modulation when the LFO is oscillating at audio rate. For some reason when the frequency reaches a certain point the oscillator cuts out. I believe this might be caused by the value of the capacitor I’m using, this is something I’ll have to experiment with further. Next steps after this experiment is to experiment with creating a filter or low pass gate so thesound produced isn’t as abrasive 24/7 as I feel this would become aggravating to exhibition goers.
A couple circuit test audio recordings are below the picture
