Here is a couple sketches of ideas and variations of my original radio feedback idea, as well as the setup of Alvin Lucier’s ‘I am Sitting in a Room’ which can be compared to the diagrams of my setups.

My original configuration for creating a radio feedback loop. My initial idea was to place the two separate transmitter/receiver groups in sonically and physically different environments and juxtapose them against each other to create a merging of two biomes.

The setup I used to record my final piece ‘Devolution of the Voice’. Audio is streamed from my phone to my laptop which then plays that audio out loud through a speaker. The mic picks up the audio that comes out of the speaker creating a feedback loop.

The setup for Alvin Lucier’s piece ‘I am Sitting in a Room’ which heavily inspired my choices in configuring my streaming setup used to record ‘Devolution of the Voice’.

An idea where six orbiting radio stations connect to a single radio station that acts as a central hub. sound is broadcasted from the orbiting stations to the central station this is played out loud in a room where a mic picks up the mix of the six radio station sounds, blends them and sends them back to the orbiting stations. I would be interesting to see if they all sound the same or other factors like signal strength and location play a role in changing the sound of each station’s sound identity.
