I recently Bought A kids toy from the charity shop with the intention of circuit bending it. I also bought jump wires as well and experimented with attaching the ends of the wire to different components of the circuit. Unfortunately there wasn’t a lot I could alter with it as sounds could only be triggered. There was a quiet inbuilt speaker that comes with the toy that I decided to cut the wires to and solder them to a jack socket instead, meaning I could playback the kid’s toy on any speaker I wished to attach it to. A slight problem I had which is probably due to my lack of knowledge on circuitry is that there was a constant buzz in the audio mainly because I had to push the gain quite high. However, it seemed to disappear when touching the third prong sticking out the side of the jack socket seen in the picture, maybe this is ground? In future I will attempt to trigger the sounds using a sequencer or any other exterior trigger after I have increased my knowledge of circuitry.
