DamefrisØr is a band consisting of 6 components, bassist, drummer, lead guitarist, rhythm guitarist, vocalist and synthesist. Our music is a blend of genres in post punk, I take care of all the synth duties often playing melodic lead lines or pad like chords. For some of the songs my parts are sequenced so I spend that time either making sounds with my modular or playing with the filter the cross modulation of the oscillators and LFOs. There isn’t a lot of space for improvising in this setting as all the songs have rigid structures. So in this setting the better communication between the band members during practice and not being afraid to speak your mind if you feel something isn’t right is essential.
