Here the gong is being manually triggered every 3 seconds by code. I have had trouble coding the solenoid to strike the gong and return back to resting position instantaneously. My second attempt at making the solenoid striking mechanism does strike the gong to a satisfactory level. I will be satisfied with the design after finessing a couple more parts of the design.
